Chimney Cleaning
Our technicians use state-of-the-art equipment to clean chimneys of all kinds. While sweeping your system, we ensure that it’s in working order. We look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and efficiently. Any potential hazards or problems that we find in your system will be pointed out. We use a closed circuit camera inspection system that can allow you to see the condition of the interior of your chimney flue.
Our cleaning methods insure that there is no mess in your home, in fact we guarantee it. We will mask off the fireplace opening and lay down heavy drop cloths. The large industrial vacuum will be running outside your home with only the hose ran inside to the firebox, this keeps dust, smell and noise inside you home to a minimum. The soot and creosote deposits are scraped off the walls of the flue and the smoke chamber with brushes attached to flexible poles. The damper, smoke shelf, and hearth are cleaned of any debris using our powerful industrial vacuum.
The cleaning may take up to an hour, and should be done every one to three years depending on use, or when you move into a new home.
Chimney Repair
Water damage is the most common cause for a chimney repair. Towering high above the rest of the property, the chimney stack is the most vulnerable part of your home when faced with harsh weather.
If your chimney flashing become loose and the brick work becomes porous, you are likely to experience a leaking chimney which in turn will erode the mortar joints and damage the bricks costing you more money for repairs in the long run.
Installing a stainless steel chimney liner is an easy and economical way to repair a deteriorated, unsafe, or inefficient chimney flue. A chimney liner should be installed to reduce the chance of a carbon monoxide leak, chimney fire, and creosote buildup. Chimney liners also improve the energy efficiency of the appliance and makes fireplace maintenance easier. Our stainless steel chimney liners come with a manufactures lifetime warranty.
A chimney without a damper is costing you money—as much as 30% of your heat and air conditioning can go up the chimney.
We can provide a top damper that fits into a flue cap. This stainless steel damper easily opens and closes with a spring loaded cable mounted on the firebox wall.
We provide a full spectrum of masonry repairs; including exterior tuck pointing, crown wash repairs/replacements, and replacing those worn out firebox bricks with new fire brick.
If the chimney crown begins to show signs of corrosion, the structure beneath the crown is likely to have been damaged also. If the crown is severely damaged, the crown will have to be replaced altogether.
We offer the full range of repairs to chimney systems, big and small—from repairing leaky flashing to tuck pointing and masonry repair to relining the flue and chimney rebuilding.

The byproduct of enjoying a crackling flame is creosote buildup (the major cause of chimney fires) and soot, which can restrict air flow and damage the fireplace chimney. Even a gas fireplace chimney can become blocked by a bird’s nest or other debris. Prevent problems with an annual chimney inspection.
What does a chimney inspection cover?
An annual chimney inspection looks for buildup and blockages, followed by sweeping to remove creosote and soot and spot problems inhibiting performance.
Cleaning and Level One Inspection –
This includes a visual check of the fireplace and chimney without any special equipment or climbing up on the roof. The inspector/sweeper comes to your house with a flashlight; looks for damage, obstructions, creosote buildup, and soot; and tells you if the chimney requires sweeping. If so, the chimney sweep will use brushes, extension poles, and a vacuum, and do it on the spot.
Level Two Inspection –*
We recommend this inspection during a change in property ownership, or after a chimney fire, or earthquake. A closed circuit camera system may be used to complete a Level Two Inspection. The camera is used to inspect the condition of the interior of the flue. You will receive a detailed written report outlining any areas of concern.
Level Three Inspection –*
A level 3 inspection is considered “destructive and intrusive” and can resemble a demolition job. It may involve tearing down and rebuilding walls and your chimney, and is usually done after a chimney fire.
*If you wish a level two or three inspection please inform us at the time of scheduling an appointment.
**We do not certify any system to be safe, we do point out any problems we uncover during inspection and
recommend solutions to make repairs.
